Frequently Asked
Questions

How does volunteering at Vivenda work?

We open up opportunities for people to exchange their time, skills, and energy with the project. These experiences aren’t fixed or predefined, they grow naturally depending on the person and the season. Usually, this happens with people who have already stayed with us for at least a month, so there’s time to connect, share the experience, and get a feel for the rhythm and philosophy of Vivenda Felicidade.

Are pets allowed?

As much as we’d love to welcome all furry friends, we’ve learned over time that it can be quite stressful for our resident cats, and they truly are part of the family here. For this reason, we generally don’t accept pets. Thanks for understanding 💛

Can you have friends/family visit and stay over?

Yes,  friends and family are welcome to visit and stay over. For shorter stays (less than a week), we simply ask for a contribution of 20€ per night. If they stay for a week or longer, it’s considered an additional person in the stay. you can find the details in our price list.

How fast is the internet?

Our Internet is 300 Mbps, and it works well in all areas of the house.

Do I have to work in the garden during my stay?

Not at all, everything around the garden and land is completely voluntary. Some people naturally enjoy getting their hands in the soil, helping out, or learning more about regenerative living, while others simply come to rest, surf, work remotely, and enjoy the space in their own way. You do you!

Are there grocery shops and other businesses around?

Yes,  there’s a Spar and a local grocery shop about a 10–15 minute walk from the house, along with a few cafés and restaurants nearby. The bus stop is right in front of the house and can take you to Magoito beach, Sintra, and other beautiful spots around the area.
